GUIDELINES/POLICY IN RESPECT OF STUDENTS SEEKING FINANCIAL SUPPORT / SPONSHORSHIP FROM NBRC FOR ATTENDING CONFERENCES / SEMINARS / SYMPOSIUM ETC. IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES

  1. Any student seeking support / sponshorship for attending conferences / seminars / symposium / workshops in  foreign countries must apply at least 2 months before the actual date of conference / seminar / workshop.
  2. Decision will be conveyed to the student who has sought support one month before the actual date of  conference / seminar.
  3. The student must have completed atleast one year in the Centre.
  4. He / she must present a paper or a poster in the conference / seminar / workshop / paper & poster presentation for which support / sponsorship is sought.
  5. He / she  should have his / her  abstract accepted.
  6. He / she should have at least one 1st or 2nd author paper published or accepted.
  7. The work referred in the paper should  have been carried out at NBRC
  8. The  applications / proposals of students will be screened and evaluated by a constituted Committee through open competetion and be shortlisted on merit basis.
  9. In a year NBRC may support 10 such students for which the budgetary  allocation will be 6 Lakhs
  10. Any interested and eligible student can avail this support only once in a period of 3 years.
  11. All aspiring students should apply for seeking financial support / sponsorship in the prescribed proforma.  The application should be forwarded by their Guide / Supervisor for consideration   by the Committee.
  12. The Committee would meet once in every quarter of the year to screen and evaluate  the  applications
  13. The students, after their return from the Conference / Seminar / Workshop should discuss the paper in the Journal Club and submit a work report to the Academics Section.
  14. If there are more than  10 applications preference will be given to no. of publications, and applications will be screened on merit basis as per the parameters to be decided by the committee.
