Brain Awareness Week
To build awareness about the objectives and progress of brain research and to recognize the achievements and challenges of neurosciences, Brain Awareness Week is celebrated all over the world in the month of March. This is a unique opportunity to promote awareness of the importance of basic and clinical neuroscience research and to understand brain functions in health and disease. Such research initiatives will not only influence and inform the student population about brain research but will also attract young students to the field of neuroscience.

The Brain Awareness Week events organized in earlier years in India have been very successful. The National Brain Research Centre requests your active participation in this campaign and hopes that you will organize this event at your institution including lectures by local neuroscientists in your centre pertaining to public awareness and importance of neuroscience research. You may like to consider a poster competition amongst student and young researchers on any topic relevant to neuroscience and present an award to the best entry. We will be happy to provide posters on brain function, which can serve as a resource for this event.

If required, NBRC can provide limited financial support for these activities. If you are interested in participating please contact academics@nbrc.ac.in.
