NBRC admits students with diverse academic backgrounds that include varuios branches of Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, Psychology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Enginerring, Computer Science & Information Technology.

Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

At least 60% marks or an equivalent grade or grade point average in higher secondary (10+2) examination, and at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade or grade point average in from Bachelors and onwards is required. 5% relaxation in aggregate scores in Bachelors and Masters will be applicable for candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/PH). Rounding of percentage score to next integral value is not permitted.

Candidates need to qualify Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examinations in selected subjects conducted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/UGC-NET/NBHM/JRFET. Candidates should have valid qualification on/after Dec 2023, whose last date of validity should not be earlier than 31st March 2026 for activation of the respective fellowship.

Candidates who have qualified GATE-2023/GATE-2024 or JGEEBILS-2024 or JEST-2024 should also qualify for a fellowship from CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/UGC-NET/NBHM/JRFET and should be eligible to receive fellowships from the respective agencies.


M.Sc. (Neuroscience)


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Engineering / Technology / Medicine / B.Sc. Degree in Psychology from a recognized Institute / University.

Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION OF FOREIGN NATIONALS


Foreign nationals seeking admission to iBRIC NBRC must fulfil all the eligibility requirements for Ph.D./M.Sc. described above. In addition, they must satisfy all the conditions as per rules of Govt. of India.
