Project Assistant
Rajiv Ramaswamy

Rajiv received his Masters Degree in Physics from the University of Sussex in the UK and has two scientific papers to his name. After interning at the Siemens Corporate Technology Development Centre (Bangalore) and Manipal Hospital (Bangalore), Rajiv joined NBRC in November 2010. His research interests lie in neuroimaging, biophysics, computer simulation and modelling. Currently, Rajiv is working on determining physical and chemical properties of the human brain (such as elasticity modulus, thermal and electrical conductivity, etc) towards detection and characterization of neurological diseases, specifically Alzheimer's Disease (AD). The project is aimed at early detection of AD and classification of the disease into mild, moderate and severe AD.
